With the takeover by Recare in summer 2023, the existing network will grow to over 500 acute hospitals, 550 rehabilitation clinics and 23,000 downstream service providers in the fields of care, rehabilitation and aids. Pflegeplatzmanager GmbH was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Greiz with additional locations in Jena and Lauf an der Pegnitz.

TeiaCare was founded in 2015 and began developing a prototype for a device that is able to recognise small disturbances, such as cardiac arrhythmias, which may be signs of a more serious illness. This led to the development of the HeartWatch app, which combines a fitness wristband and a smartphone, as well as an intelligent system that can recognise microchromatic facial differences that may indicate an underlying pathology.
