Congratulations to the SWE Volley team on winning the 2nd Volleyball Bundesliga championship and a near-perfect season! Coach Mateusz Zarczynski’s team confidently claimed its 24th win in its 24th league match against Stralsund Wildcats at the weekend. Captain Lara Darowski was also delighted to receive the MVP of the season award, which she thoroughly deserved. More than enough reasons to celebrate into the early hours!
With this euphoria behind them, Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt will return to where the team undoubtedly belongs in sporting terms – the 1st Bundesliga. The signs are optimistic: manager Florian Völker has extended the contract with champion coach Zarczynski and put the club on a firm footing. This has ensured that the majority of the team will remain together in League One.
