The Erfurt-based TREUENBURG Group, in cooperation with its non-profit foundation Kinderfreuden, is donating €1,000 to the Caritas Association’s Mother-Child Clinic Maria am See in Bad Salzungen. This financial support benefits children who are staying or receiving treatment at the clinic during a three-week program, often due to their mothers’ psychological or physical illnesses, or because of their own health conditions. The donation will be used to furnish the children’s area with new furniture, creating a more welcoming and comfortable environment for the young guests and patients at the Caritas clinic.
“We became aware of the valuable work of the Mother-Child Clinic Maria am See through Erfurt’s Auxiliary Bishop Reinhard Hauke. The Kinderfreuden Foundation, supported by the TREUENBURG Group, is committed to ensuring children experience a carefree and joyful childhood. The clinic provides mothers and their children with a safe space for rest and recovery, which aligns perfectly with our mission. We also highly value the grief support services offered as part of the treatment concept — a sensitive and often overlooked area that is given a dedicated place here,” says Giao Linh Vu Thi of the Kinderfreuden Foundation.
“It is donations like these that enable us to offer mothers and children a relaxing stay at our clinic. We are deeply grateful to the TREUENBURG Group and the Kinderfreuden Foundation for their generous support. Every day, around 45 children are cared for in our ‘Adventure Land’ area. Since reunification, approximately 23,000 children have come through our clinic — and that leaves its marks. That’s why we rely on donations and truly appreciate this contribution,” adds Angelika Oschmann, Director of the Maria am See Caritas Clinic in Bad Salzungen.
