Fewer exhibitors, fewer parties, but more focus on factual topics and emerging optimism: To speak of a “spirit of optimism” at the leading real estate trade fair Expo Real would certainly be exaggerated. However, after the crisis-ridden previous years, a significantly better mood is spreading through the halls of Messe München.
While confidence is returning, it is especially the future and transformation topics that are increasingly coming into the focus of the fair—symbolizing the upheaval in the industry.
As a Thuringian company based in the state capital Erfurt, we also notice what is painfully missing here (again): a strong presence of the state of Thuringia, especially the region of Erfurt. With the discontinuation of the Thuringian joint stand, the visibility of our federal state or our home region at this significant industry meeting has noticeably suffered.
From our point of view, opportunities are being missed here to present Thuringia as the attractive real estate and investment location that the Free State undoubtedly is. As TREUENBURG, we are therefore advocating that the future Thuringian state government initiate the promotion of a joint trade fair appearance anew.
Meanwhile, the joint stand of the “Metropolitan Region Central Germany” has once again shown how cooperation can work beyond state borders. Jena and Gera present themselves here side by side with Leipzig, Halle, and Magdeburg, among others. Why not also Erfurt? Let’s discuss new ways together to represent Central Germany, Thuringia, and Erfurt at Expo Real and on other platforms!
